Counterflows 2025

FAQ

Where will the festival be based?

Most of the venues for the festival this year will be based around the city centre, with a few scattered a little into the west end. If you are coming to the festival we recommend getting accommodation near the city centre. The full festival is walkable on foot, with venues situated closely within each other.

What is access for the festival like?

Detailed access documents for each venue – including safeguarding information – is listed in its corresponding event listing.

We do 2-for-1 tickets for audience members who require a carer to join them. After you have purchased a ticket, message us on counterflows@gmail.com to reserve your free 2nd ticket.

If you struggle to stand for long periods and require a seat reservation let us know and we can reserve that for you – counterflows@gmail.com

If you have any questions regarding access please message us on counterflows.com@gmail.com

What about food?

We’ve created breaks in the programme to allow for you time to get food in the city.

Here’s a list we’ve made up of recommended places to eat and drink near to the venues

Is the festival 18+?

Some of the events (The Woodside Hall, Maryhill Community Central Halls, Mackintosh Church and Sunday Fair at Civic House) are all ages events. We are afraid the events taking place at The Ferry, The Art School and CCA are open to over 18s only, sorry.

Most of the events are sold out, do you do any returns?

We currently run a returns waiting list for individual events, day passes and weekend passes. If you would like to be added to that message us at counterflows@gmail.com.

I can no longer attend the festival or an individual event, do you do returns?

We do, but only up until 7 days before the festival. Message us at counterflows@gmail.com if you would like to return your tickets.

Where do I pick up tickets?

Festival passes and day passes will be available at the doors of first event you attend at the festival. Individual tickets will be at the door.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the first act begins so you can get in on time.
