Ghana Soundz

Ghana Soundz is a small DJ collective that includes Laurie Pitt, Oliver Pitt and Letitia Pleiades. Based in Glasgow, Scotland they play traditional and often acoustic West African music in club settings to highlight the relationship between what we consider club music and West African rhythms. The collective formed after a trip to Ghana meeting musicians and learning dance and drumming, The group brought home music specifically out with the better known Afrobeat and Highlife genres. The money raised DJing will be used to benefit the music communities the group met in Ghana.
