For Counterflows Festival 2023 we asked Glasgow based composer Max Syedtollan to work with Music Space, a project set up by Counterflows to support young people living in Glasgow who want to explore music and sound. As part of the commission, we invited back filmmakers Duncan Marquiss and Kimberley O’Neill to create a new short film behind the scenes of the commission. Over four rehearsals and a final performance we see an insight into Max’s open approach to the commission and the playful nature of the group, we are happy to share a completely collaborative new piece of work that had it’s debut at this year’s festival.
