Music For Counterflows

Helena Celle (Kay Logan) presents a durational new work whipped up at home during lock-down.

In it, musical environments or musical organisms emerge and drift in a flowing state, allowing compositional and improvisational approaches to all fold into one nebulous mass. Composed using MaxMSP,  it’s an ever-evolving landscape of melodic and melancholy synths, tilted experimentalism and swampy psychedelia, with The Residents and late-period Frank Zappa professed to be among the inspirations.
