Yan Jun + Sue Tompkins

Very pleased to say that alongside Counterflows Festival in April we’ll be presenting some one-off events this year in Glasgow. We’ll be keeping them intimate and strange: true to the Counterflows spirit!

The first of these is a pre-festival warm up on the 4th of March, welcoming solo sets two legends who have graced our stages in the past; Beijing’s Yan Jun and Glasgow’s very own Sue Tompkins. This will be an early event (doors at 6.30pm!) at one of Glasgow key community spaces, Listen Gallery (60 york street, Glasgow, United Kingdom G2 8JX). Listen Gallery is a dry space – there will be free tea, as well as some food on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The event will be preceded by a workshop at Listen Gallery by Yan Jun at 1pm, called ‘A Plastic Body’. The workshop will be hosted by our Music Space, an alternative educational programme for young people aged 16–25 who are based in Glasgow and interested in exploring sound and music.
