Foodman + Brunnera + gyrofield + Akumu

We return to the spiritual home for our clubnights, the Glasgow School of Art, for a night of exploring high-tempo experimental sounds from the East Asian diaspora, as well as a few of our favourite Glasgow based acts. The party will take place in the upstairs Assembly Hall, and we’ll have the Vic Bar downstairs open too those who want to take a break or hang-out.
As part of the evening Japan’s Foodman presents a live set with his thrilling tangential take on Chicago footwork, taking its cues from plunderphonics, Japanese folk music and experimental composition. From Hong Kong, gyrofield will present their unrelenting, pummelling and queered-up drum and bass, while Glasgow’s Brunnera will present an extended live set, aptly described by him as “whimsical speedcore”. Opening the evening we present Akumu, the head honcho Red Museum, a Glasgow-based night with a focus on experimental club music and drummy techno.
This is an 18+ event.
