Mother (DJ)

For over two decades, as both artist & DJ, Mother (aka Mark Maxwell) has explored the liminal spaces between Techno, Dub, Jungle, Noise, Industrial and a whole manner of uncategorizable underground grot, having released mixes and albums for the likes of FELT, The Trilogy Tapes, Natural Sciences and V I S.

Last year he released “Jungle Warfare”, his first solo musical outing, compromised of a series of “compositions” for – or, more accurately, from – the E-MU E6400 Ultra & Roland VP-9000 Variphrase Processor samplers, featuring additional DSP from the Eventide H90 Harmonizer. We’ve welcomed Mark before to Counterflows where he opened for Mark Ernestus’ Ndagga Rhythm Force, but this time we’re excited to have him in the club.
