Ghédalia Tazartès’ presents HÄXAN

Ghédalia Tazartès’ music has always been a mystery. It switches from musique concrète to existing or invented ethnic music, from poetry to noise, or from loops and collages to sad and extremely beautiful tunes in a second.

This is a rare chance to catch him perform an improvised soundtrack to the 1922 Swedish/Danish silent horror film Häxan, written and directed by Benjamin Christensen – a documentary on the history of witchcraft.
