Directly following Counterflows’ screening of Ears Switched off and On there will be a panel discussion looking at the development of the Taiwan sound art scene, exploring the reasons for the way this movement took place and the social context of the work. Director Sinnging CHEN and the three artists performing later in the day will be a part of what will be a fascinating discussion.
These events are part of a wider project that brings these artists to the UK for the first time. There will be an exhibition at the Peltz Gallery in London from 26th of March to the 2nd April curated by Wei Yu who is responsible for coordinated the whole project and enabling this work to be part of Counterflow 2015 . Along side this exhibition there will be film screenings and talks at Birbeck Cinema and also of course performances at Cafe Oto. The project is sponsored by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture and Birbeck College, Univesity of London.
